I was hoping to have some good news to report at this point, but unfortunately, we are still waiting on the 2nd insurance to approve the transplant. I've made some calls and hopefully we can get those gears turning more efficiently. Audree had a pretty good weekend! She is one smart little cookie :) On Friday she managed to get her NG tube out 2x by sneezing violently about 10x in a row! "Look Ma No Hands!" :) I decided since she had worked so hard to get it out, I would give her a break. She took her next 8 feeds completely by mouth within her 15 minute allotment for oral feeding! Normally, she only does about 1 ounce and the rest I have to put down the tube- so I was very excited! Also, this weekend Daddy and Grandma came to visit! It's a long drive from Amarillo so they spent most of the day Friday and Sunday on the road. So Saturday we got to spend most of our time hanging out. We also had some sweet relatives visit and some dear friends visit. We are so blessed by everyone's continued prayers for Audree and for our family. Please pray that this insurance situation is resolved today! Also, Audree stopped eating Sunday, so I had to replace her NG tube. She is still not a fan, but I believe the smaller one that I asked the Cardiologist for is much better since it doesn't take up her entire nostril :) Thanks again everyone! I will update as soon as I hear anything from the transplant team.
