Update on Audree



Still barely fits in her newborn clothes!

Just spoke with our coordinator... Since taking Audree into a doctors office is very risky with all of the illnesses she could come in contact with, we are going to monitor her very closely today and tomorrow. I am going to spread out the volume of her feed over a longer period of time. The concern right now is to not allow dehydration. So if that means 5 minutes for 1 cc I will do that. Also Whitney said unfortunately as these babies wait on their new hearts it is very common to see this kind of thing. Along with the heart working so hard and burning off so many calories, lack of appetite and even vomiting are additional reasons why it is so hard to get them to gain weight. This can be what is becoming part of her new "normal". If this continues, we will have another Echo done to determine if her heart has weakened more. Please continue to pray...
